Art exists in our life in many
different forms and impacts our character and educational development in numerous ways. Explore your own creativity and have fun doing a variety of arts and crafts. Never cease to be creative!!!
Seneca Park Zoo
The Seneca Park Zoo is home to over 90 species that includes mammals, reptiles, and birds. Each student will select one mammal, reptile or bird to study. During a field trip to the zoo, students will observe their animals, record factual information, and take digital photos of the animals in their habitats. The information, photos, and additional research will be used to create PowerPoint presentations. Students also will have a chance to make visual models of their animals in their habitats. A roaring good time for all!
Cooking is a valuable life skill that teaches children about nutrition and food safety, as well as building math, science, library, and fine motor skills. Have fun making tasty treats, and even more fun eating them!
Basket weaving is an ancient craft that uses naturally grown materials and a few very simple tools. Become a basket maker by learning to bend and form reeds to weave a basket that is sure to please and fun to make.

Focus on Rochester
Get to know your city – the iconic garbage plate, the fragrant lilacs, the Sam Patch replica packet boat, the Red Wings and much more. Find out what Rochester has to offer you!
Build and paint a volcano. Then set off the volcano with an eruption that can reach 15 – 20 feet. Watch a video about Pompeii – one of the biggest blasts in a populated area in modern times. You’re guaranteed to have a blast in this session!
